MEDITATION AND VISUALISATION TECHNIQUE

MEDITATION AND VISUALISATION

Meditation and visualisation are two techniques which are meant for god realisation and concentration. Meditation for god realisation or self realisation and visualisation for any worldly affair.

Meditation

Meditation as described by Shri Shri Paramhans yoganand Ji is the concentration technique used for searching or finding God. Meditation which is a technique to find God is nothing else but to find the inner self. God and self as propounded in scriptures are same. God is the entity which is universal whereas that universal entities part is the self. So finding God means finding self and finding self means finding God.
Bhagwat Geeta has given primarily four parts for god realisation they are the Bhakti Marg, the Gyan Marg, Karma marg and Dhyan Marg. There are many techniques of meditation and rishi's like Patanjali have given the path of yoga as a way of life or as a way of self realisation.

Paths in Bhagavad Gita
In Bhagavad Gita in the chapter of Bhakti Marg or that of Meditation lord Krishna says to Arjuna 'O' Arjuna meditate at the tip of the nose. Friends this is the easiest way of meditation. Along with the looking at the tip of the nose with closed eyes also continuously repeat some mantra mentally. Practice this technique 10 minutes or 15 minutes in the morning and evening everyday. See your life transforming in 3 to 4 months time.

Visualisation

Visualisation technique is a method of concentration which is primarily meant for any worldly desire. We concentrate on a particular thing, event or issue and visualise it again and again to our satisfaction. This technique gives us confidence and perfection in performing that particular event.
I am giving a small example of the visualisation technique of a student's life.
Visualisation example

A student gets up early in the morning, gets ready for the school,  has his breakfast and after taking blessings from his family members say's bye to them and goes to school. On the way he sees his friends also going to school, he greets them and together they go along and enter the school. He goes to his class and when the bell rings he goes down along with everybody  to the school ground where they do their morning prayer. After the prayer they again go back to the class and do their studies. They have their lunch break or the interval and after that they again follow their routine of rest of the periods for the day. When the school is over, the student goes home has his lunch, rests for the day and plays on his mobile for his entertainment, he may also see the TV as convenient to him. He again rests for sometime and then, when his tutor comes he studies with him. In the evening goes down in the park and plays there with his friends. He comes back studies for some time, does his homework and in the evening has his dinner and then goes off to sleep with his parents.
This kind of visualization can be done by anybody be it a lawyer, be it a doctor be it a corporate employee or anybody else.
This is one of the visualisation technique of the day of a student. We cannot only visualise the day but plan the next day and also the entire week. We can visualise any event that is coming up or plan something that we have to organise or visualise our journey from one place to other or plan our vacation and  visualise it again and again and then successfully conduct the particular event. We will realise with minimum efforts we have achieved the maximum output.

Conclusion

Meditation and visualisation are two very important techniques in our everyday life. With meditation we can make our life joyful and blissful. With visualisation technique we can plan an event and successfully complete it. In both meditation and visualization a particular technique is used to achieve the goal that we have set for ourslves.
